Discovery Keycare Plus Medicine List
The Discovery Health Medicine List outlines approved medications for acute and chronic conditions covered under KeyCare and other scheme plans. This list specifies the quantity and frequency limits for short-term treatments, ensuring members receive appropriate doses within defined timeframes. Additionally, there are separate formularies for Chronic Illness Benefit medications, applicable across all Discovery Health plans, with certain exceptions for KeyCare and Smart plans. Discovery Keycare Plus Medicine List
This formulary provides a list of medicines intended exclusively for acute, short-term use. Each medicine category specifies the maximum quantity allowable within a set timeframe. For instance, members can claim up to 30 Moxymax 250 mg capsules once every 120 days or 200 ml of Augmaxcil S suspension once in the same period.
Please Note: Only one medicine per sub-category will be covered within each specified period. For example, a prescription may not include multiple medicines from the same sub-category within that time frame.

The CDL Medicine List applies across all Discovery Health Medical Scheme plans for the 2024 benefit year. However, the Chronic Drug Amount (CDA) does not apply to KeyCare and Smart plans. Medicines marked with an asterisk (*) will be removed from the formulary soon.
